Today, most drums can be ordered by mail. This, of course, means that you have to assemble them yourself. It's important for every new drummer to know how to assemble drums correctly. If not assembled properly, they will not sound right, plus they can get damaged.

Is it difficult to assemble a drum set? Not really, but if you haven't done it before, you might need a little help. Hopefully, this short guide will give you what you need.

Okay, so you've got your new drums nicely packed in a few boxes. Now what? First, I would highly recommended that you do the assembly in a large open area where you can spread out all the parts and have room to work.

Then you should take all of the pieces out of the boxes and arrange them logically on the floor. Remember, there are a lot of parts for a full size drum set, so be organized.

It may seem a bit intimidating at first, but don't worry, once you get started, it's pretty straightforward.

If you're ready to begin, here is a nice instructional video that will explain what all the parts are and how they fit together. I recommend watching it once all the way through before you start your assembly.

Ok, now that your drums are all set, go play. If you don't know how, take a look at Learn And Master Drums.

Good luck and good drumming!
